Description: One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

Everything about this restaurant is great! The atmosphere is comfortable, the service is amazing, and the food is delicious. We had to wait for about half an hour because we arrived at 8:00 pm and the restaurant was full, but the hostess was so kind to suggest we either go for a walk and they would text us when our table was ready, or we could order drinks from the bar. My only suggestion would be for the burger and a few other dishes to be less salty. Overall, great experience!

We came here for dinner before seeing Lion King with our two children that are 5 and 15 years old. We told the staff before we began the meal that we had limited time and they were respectful of our time. The food was amazing and we all enjoyed it. They do not have a children's menu but were able to make my son grilled chicken with carrots. He was thrilled. The three courses were a perfect amount of food. I would definitely go back on our next trip to NYC.

We had a lovely dinner here for our 15th anniversary. Made the reservations online. As the time got closer, they emailed me to confirm and also asked how long we had been married, any food allergies, etc. The hosts up front were very friendly. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. Our server was so friendly and engaging. All the other servers who helped clear the table and bring new plates were also efficient and welcoming. They have their service well-choreographed! They started us with complimentary glasses of champagne. The amuse-bouche was awesome - we wanted more! We opted for the three course dinner which was just perfect in size after the complimentary rolls, amuse-bouche and complimentary after dinner truffles. The coconut cake and homemade granola bars were also welcome extras that topped off a lovely meal.

Perhaps some of the best food in Manhattan, A foodie's paradise. The fried oysters are amazing, sandwich and soup, burgers, extraordinary salads and daily fair. The service staff and atmosphere are always on point. I never miss going at least once every trip.

We spent the best time having our honeymoon lunch here. We had the taster menu plus matching wine, didn’t feel uncomfortable or out of place at all. A relaxed style with great food and service. We loved it.
