This place used to be much better. The portions have become much smaller and the price is still very high for the value. The atmosphere is nice but so is the atmosphere in a lot of NYC restaurants. We spent a lot of $$ for dinner and left so hungry that we actually had to go out for a 2nd meal!

Great, affordable tapas. Good variety, octopus was very tender; Mushrooms very garlic-y, corn chowder creamy; spinach with dates delicious. Nice decor, cozy seating. The only bad thing was the live entertainment was so loud, it became impossible to have any conversation across a very small table.

We met friends near Union Square for lunch, and we ended up going to Pipa. It was very enjoyable for a casual lunch with friends. The menu had a nice mix of brunch and lunch items, so everyone was satisfied. We got cocktails, and they were delicious. The hostesses were a little too cool for school, but thankfully our server was very nice and there were no glitches with the meal. I had a BLT that was very good -- perfectly crispy bacon -- and everyone else was satisfied with their meals, too.

Space is cool; darker colors create warmth and there's lots of interesting lighting, much of it for sale! I thought the restaurant served its purpose well; I'd go back.

Food was good, not great, way too trendy and crowded for me (54), but a 'cool hot-spot' for a younger crowd.
