This was certainly a different experience! Shoes removed at the door and very low tables with a hole below where your feet go, but an excellent ambience.
Our first experience of Korean food so needed help from the waiter to order which was happily given.
We are not vegetarians but still enjoyed trying some different foods.

I've been here twice now, during two consecutive visits to NYC, and both times received outstanding service, lovely dishes full of flavor, in a gorgeous environment. Looking forward to my next visit.

This was my 3rd visit to this restaurant. We had the prix fixe as usual. 6 courses, each delicious and beautifully presented. Although it is vegan, meat eaters will be impressed as well. It is a lovely oasis and respite from the energy of NYC. Be aware that all of the tables are set into the floor, and you need to scramble in, and dangle you legs below, so it is not particularly accessible for those who have mobility issues.

We were celebrating a special occasion, and I happened to pick this place because it was close to our hotel. What terrific luck that only was the service wonderful, but the food was creatively assembled and tasty. My wife can't stand spice and I love it. Both our dishes suited us perfectly. You are asked to remove your shoes, climb a short flight of stairs and then walk along an elevated platform to your table, which is lower than you. So you sit on pillows and then drape your legs over the bench. (You're not really sitting on the floor, but that's the impression. You sit as on a normal bench, not cross-legged).
Anyway, the menu was creative, the pumpkin porridge was creamy and not too sweet. The absence of meat was more than compensated for by the creative use of mushrooms and tofu. Reasonably priced and helpful service.
