It is not often that a restaurant lives up to the anticipation and hype. This was our first visit to a true New York delicatessen and it was everything we had imagined and more. Fortunately we visited during the bomb cyclone weather and it was not overly crowded. The line of meat cutters were entertaining and fun to watch. They will give you a sample of meat, and tipping is appreciated. The pastrami was beyond amazing as were the soups and side dishes. Sure $20+ is a lot to spend on a sandwich, and $7 sides, but the price was worth it for the whole experience and quality of food. As people say, be sure to hold onto your ticket, because that is where the price of each item you purchased is written. The door is guarded closely and you will not be allowed out without returning your tickets. Definitely worth a visit for a true New York dining experience.
