Description: Sergio Acappella's Northern Italian Cuisine is traditional and created to perfection. Acappella has a classic and fun atmosphere. You and your guest can enjoy signature drinks at their popular mahogany wooden bar. The elegant dining room features tablecloth settings, 16 ft. high ceilings, exposed brick wall, tapestry and their famous over sized portrait of the Duke of Urbino. This is a great place for just a night on the town or a business lunch or dinner.

This is one of the restaurant gems of lower Manhattan. Located near City Hall and the Freedom Tower, it's Italian dining at it's finest. From the cheese served when you arrive to the spicy sausage and eggplant served while you look at the menu and listen to the specials, the service is suburb. So is the food.

We went with the specials, and while this is definitely not an inexpensive place, each of the specials was amazing. The food's final preparation is often conducted at the table, or at cooking stations in the dining room. They are very accommodating, so if you prefer your food spicier or less spicy, they will make it as you like it.

Another part of the "old school" atmosphere in their beautiful dining room is that they make you feel like a valued friend, even if it's your first visit.

We'll be back for other special occasions, and if you find yourself in lower Manhattan and are looking for a special place to dine, this is it.

After 7PM, we had no problem finding legal and free on-street parking across the street from the restaurant. During the day, street parking is much less likely and you may have to plan to use one of the local garages.

Hope this review is helpful and that you have a chance to try Acappella.

We were walking back from the 9/11 Memorial and walked in with no reservation. The first thing that greets you are staff with strong Italian accents. They immediately bring out a free slab of cheese as they review the specials with you. They kindly repeated the specials when I had trouble understanding due to the strong accents.
The pasta was great. The veal was incredible. Service was prompt and friendly.
Can't wait to go back,

One of the top Italian restaurants I had the pleasure to enjoy.
The food is true gourmet. The service is professional to the highest degree.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys high-end Italian.
As expected, it is a bit pricey.

Dined here with my date. Excellent Italian food in a classy setting but very expensive. Only problem is its location, which is not a big deal. Chambers Street is not the most appealing street in Manhattan.
