Amazing food with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Expensive but if you want to spoil yourself, this is the place. We had the 4 course fixe prix. Plenty of nice options. They added creative amuse bouche starters and closing tasty treats. Yum!

I have celebrated 2 birthdays at Daniel and both occasions were outstanding. The ambiance is beautiful and the food and the service are a 10 out of 10. This year I have a major birthday coming up and I hope to celebrate it at Daniel.

I do not even know where to start to describe my disappointment with Restaurants Daniel........ I've never, never been so disappointed in my life. Let me first say that me and my husband are big fan of food, great food, and we believe that eating in world know restaurants, Michelin start restaurant is an experience. We take food very serious, and spending money on great experiences has never been an issue. I've wanted to dine at Daniel for quite some time, and was anxiously waiting for that
" experience " , but boyyyyyy was it a DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!! We arrived as planed, and right away were taken to our table...... the restaurant has a dining area consisted of two levels, restaurant was full of people, everyone was appropriately dressed, so we're we... as we walked following our hostess we noted that we were walking toward the bag, then he showed us to a table which was not in the dining room, but rather in a corner behind a partition next to garbage room/ washing room whatever u call it.... basically a corner, my husband called it a " naughty corner where parents send there kids for time out", why were we discriminated that way I don't know!!!! We sat and ate a dinner while people were passing in and out with dirty dishes, no romance here at all....
Moreover, we were presented with a menu, preset menu... I don't mind a set menu, believe me Per Se has an amazing set menu, but Daniel offered a a menu where we only had a choice of 2 dishes only, it makes it a bit difficult to enjoy the dinner, and at the end pay 1000$ for such crappy experience.
Food is tasteless, plain, and presentation is nothing special to brag about, I ate better more presentable food at other places that were not a mechellin star restaurant.... Besides the location and a great service from our waiters, it was a 1 star experience.

I never wrote a review before, me writing a review means I had a horrible experience.

Simply put this is my favourite restaurant of any place i have been. I have been fortunate enough to dine there 6 different times, each occasion is better than the last. Food and service both world class and I have never been disappointed. It's definitely not for the price conscious, but if you find value in quality, this is the best.

Acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud upper east side restaurant has a beautiful architectural interior and the French food is some of the best in the world. We had the (7) course prix fixe-only menu paired with the stellar wine selection. Desserts are served with complimentary petits fours, chocolate truffles, and warm madeleines fresh from the oven.
The service is the best in the business! The wine selection is for all price ranges. Jackets are required.
