We went here three times while were in NYC. It was just down the street from our hotel and the food was top notch each time. Dinner was magnificent. Chilean Sea Bass was really well prepared with an excellent soy/miso sauce. The steak au poivre and frites were also really good. Service was friendly, prompt and unobtrusive. The valrhona chocolate cake dessert was over the top delicious.
We were impressed so much that we came back fro breakfast. Mascarpone Brioche French Toast, The Eggs Benedict and the pastries were all very good. Prices are average for mid level dining in midtown Manhattan.

While looking for somewhere to have brunch during a visit to New York we stumbled upon Rue 57 In Midtown. Despite appearing to be very busy we were found a table almost immediately. Food was delicious - we had the grilled cheese sandwich and breakfast burrito. Our server also gave us 2 complimentary pastries which was most unexpected and a lovely touch. Portions were very large, possibly too large ideally, but everything was so tasty! Service was quick and friendly, prices were slightly on the higher side but this seems to be standard in NYC. Would recommend.

We have dined at Rue 57 several times and have always enjoyed our meals. Most recently we enjoyed a late lunch of sushi and wine on a cold February afternoon. Service was exceptional and the sushi was some of the best I’ve had. We will be back.oi

This restaurant calls itself a French bistro, but really offers so much more. My wife and I have eaten here several times in the past and dined here again earlier this week. My wife had salmon, whitch she loved, and I had delicious fried chicken, neither of which are particularly French. Our server made a mistake in the accompaniments, but made up for it by providing me with a comped cup of tea after the meal. The cost of the meal was about $85 including tax and tip. I am sure that we will be back the this friendly and comfortable restaurant in the future.

Well visited Rue 57 for lunch on 17th of March the food was really nice and good wine too ! The waiters and waitresses were extremely nice ..But all looked unhappy down to the Manager who to be honest over hearing her talk to the staff was very disappointing zero man managing skills ...if the staff had been in the UK they would have walked out and gone to a tribunal...It's was sad to see it's a wonderful place food geat but the thin black manager had the staff so miserable it gave a bad atmosphere ...the staff were doing a great job too
