Ben's Kosher Delicatessen is about mid block on 38th street and Broadway, has that historical look from some of the old movies. This location is both a Delicatessen for take out, as well as a Restaurant for dine in. They have a pretty large menu of items and multiple choices of everything, from Sandwiches, Hot Dogs / Hamburgers, to hot meals. They also provide Coleslaw and Pickles as appetizer while you wait for your meal. The food is very good, and the staff very friendly, we went as a family and had multiple items, Pastrami Sandwich, Hot Dogs, Hamburger, Turkey Dinner, and Roast Beef .... all of the items were very good. We were visiting for a Wednesday afternoon play on 42nd street, and wanted to sample something local and ideally a bit historic, and found Ben's .... enjoyed the food and is only a short walk from the Theater's, and is not one of the national chain restaurants that you see along the street. If in the New York area, and want to experience local cuisine, would suggest trying Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant.
