The inn is a really nice b&b in a still often overseen neighbourhood of NYC. Harlem, and especially the part where the inn is located, is safe and worth walking around. By subway (5 minute walk) midtown is a 20 minute ride.
The inn is beautifully decorated and the service is above average. The innkeeper Jeremy is really friendly and helpful, any question about NYC will be answered, and breakfasts are a real nice touch.
Rooms are spacious and clean but beware of the rooms on the 3rd floor (ours was Josephines). The 4th floor can be pretty noisy because of the large groups of people that floor can accomodate. You can here them walking above you.
Overall, this was the only negative I can think of when writing this review. I truly recommend the Sugar Harlem Inn for a short visit to NYC.More
