Description: The surreal atmosphere of this awe-inspiring restaurant in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan combines the serenity of Asia with the flamboyance of 16th century Paris. The menu features fanciful interpretations of Chinese dishes and delights even the most discriminating palates.

visited new York two weeks ago and visited Buddakan as a friend recommended and so glad we did! The atmosphere was great, buzzy but not too loud with great music. we tried the charred fillet of beef, the monkfish, broken chilli chicken, the dumplings and the pork buns. All were amazing! the service was on point, so attentive but not too much and we weren't rushed with anything. would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NYC!

Really fun dinner. Started with the much talked about endamame dumplings. Really unique take on the dumpling. And also the General Tsao's dumplings. The latter a fun way to experience the classic dish.
Main course-full Peking duck. Outstanding Would definitely order it again.
Service was also wonderful.
I'll look forward to returning.

Food, service, ambience, cocktails are all on point! A welcome break from the snow. Variety of dishes was appreciated at a perfect and valuable price point.

The ambience is very Sex in the City 90s and has a very dated feel. Very loud but the food was really good. Not sure I'd go back but it wasn't a total bomb.
