“Fantastic location but noisy!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2012

The location of this hotel is fantastic - just a few doors away fromToys R Us. There are plenty of restaurants in the street and the theatres are all close by.The Executive Suite with study was a great room with plenty of space to spread out and relax after a busy day. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a full kitchen. We only used it for breakfast and the odd cup of tea but it was very handy to be able to keep fruit, cheese, bread etc.(there is a little supermarket near by) Apparently all rooms of this type face the street so the noise is pretty full on, even on the 4th floor! Delivery trucks and garbage collection are conducted in the very early hours of the morning. If you need a quieter room, choose one facing the back; you will need to ask what those room types are. The study had a slight buzzing noise that would have driven an occupant to distraction; not sure what the cause was. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. There were plenty of towels and as we stayed for at least 7 days, our linen was changed. It was great having a washing machine & dryer and the business centre was very handy.

Room Tip: Ask the location of the various room types to avoid the noisy street facing rooms.

We stayed here for 3 nights just before Christmas. We enjoyed it hugely.

The positon is perfect for Times Square (obviously) but also for things like the Rockefeller Centre and 5th Avenue. It was amazing that being so close to the crowd in Times Square, that by walking 50 metres down 44th Street the crowd and noise melted away.

The apartment was large and well fitted out. The appliances were new and useful, even a washer and dryer. It would be a great base for an extended stay in New York.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, with the only blemish being the doorman/porter who took 20 minutes to retrieve our bags. We nearly missed our train.

There are a number of good restaurants nearby and basic necessities can be purchased from markets also close by, for those who want to cook for themselves.

Room Tip: Ask for a rom on a higher floor to be above traffic noise

I dont normally comment on anything unless it is worth commenting on. All I can say is wow. Great location 30 second walk from times square. Apartments were fantastic, clean and in good condition. Staff were great also. I will be booking for next year

My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights at the beginning of December. AKA Times Square was perfect for our stay. We had a large living room with kitchen, good sized bathroom, great storage, and large bedroom. I'd emailed before arrival and they had organised some groceries to be in the apartment waiting for us. The location is right off Times Square so you're pretty much perfectly placed for most attractions / shops.

There are some good places to eat opposite the hotel (breaking the old "don't eat within 10 blocks of Times Square rule") - The Long Room for relaxed pub food and The Lamb's Club for something more upmarket.

We had one slight issue whilst staying. We were initially put in room 603 however, had a banging noise in one of the bedroom walls. Not conducive to a good night's sleep no matter how great the jet lag. The staff, particularly Cynthia, could not have been nicer or more helpful. Maintenance arrived within 5 minutes, decided it was too big a job to fix instantly so asked Reception to move us. We were moved to 803 and all was perfect for the rest of our stay.

Will definitely be staying here again.

Excellent apartment hotel for first time NYC visitor. Modern and well located, offers free Wi-Fi and iMacs, and has spacious rooms. Rooms are quiet - once inside, you wouldn't know what's oustide (apart from occasional sirens!) Front desk is manned all night and AKA offer a great concierge service. We stayed 10 nights which was vg for a first trip to NYC. So much to see and do, and city feels safe. Location is v close to Times Sq, between 6th & 7th Av, so close to shopping, subway and theatre district. Short walk to 5th Ave, Grand Central Station, Bryant Park etc.
W44th Street is a lovely street, full of restaurants & cafes.
We had a 1 bed (+ den) apartment on 11th floor - see pictures. Italian appliances including washer and dryer. Only drawback was bathrooom which was fairly small & had little room for toiletries.
Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing 44th Street, on a high floor
