Average hotel but in a good location. Our biggest issue was the amount of pot being smoked in neighboring rooms. Not sure how that gets policed by the hotel but it should. Nice Lobby area and nice doormen as well.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently. Denis at the door welcomed us: was always chatty and helpful! Lovely hotel with nice, clean rooms and lovely helpful staff. A good hotel in a central location for exploring manhattan. Recommended!

Spent 2 nights at the Shelburne NYC Affinia Hotel and was pleasantly surprised both with the Hotel and the area. The way the streets of New York are names is fascinating and was surprisingly easy to get around on foot to and from the Hotel. There was a very close vendor to take care of our laundry at a very reasonable price. We booked Hop On Hop Off bus from this Hotel Concierge which was easy but be careful that your debit card works as I have been charged 4 times for a card that did not work and am now in the process of trying to retrieve my money back from Shelburne.
Overall the hotel is old and has no tea making facilities or even a kettle in the room but they do offer happy hour with a poor class of wine from 5 to 6 pm.
There is a restaurant on the premises right next to the front door that offers reasonably prices breakfast and was very nice. Service was good.

I booked this last minute for a weekend trip. I got a great price which I was really happy with. While my room was on the 2nd floor and didn't have any view, it was perfect for me. I was out and about a lot of the time and I only needed a bed and a clean bathroom. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Went to New York for the 2017 US Open Tennis Tournament and stayed at the Shelburne on Lexington Avenue. The room was clean, a great size with a nice bathroom and a small kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The only let-down for me was the refrigerator did not have a freezer, a real downer because of medicine issues. But the people working at the reception area were friendly, as were other hotel staff. The hotel would have been a great hit with me except for the $25.00 a day "hotel facilities fee." The mandatory fee let each room spent $10 in their little store which was certainly not a bargain because the items were so very much overpriced. But the hotel location was good because it was within walking distance of Grand Central Station were you could take the number 7 subway train to the Open Tennis match. Overall, I did have a fun tennis stay in spite of no freezer in the fridge and the $25 a day hotel fee.
