Loved everything about being here, but especially the friendly staff and always accommodating front desk. Perfect location to get around, and since this was just for fun, the spoiled service helped us feel like a real vacation even though in the city.

Such a beautiful room and perfect location, close to everything! Staff go above and beyond to cater to your needs. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the hotel restaurant was lovely and the spa was great, a lot of treatments available.

We had a wonderful time in this hotel. The location is great, close to the subway, close to Times Square and Rockefeller centre. Staff was friendly and very polite. The hotel has its wellness and fitness. You can choose from the several options for breakfast. Nothing to complain about.

The Waldorf Astoria feels like a true luxury classic! We recommend exploring the communal spaces, especially the old ball rooms. The location is also perfect, with 5th Avenue and Central Park easily reachable by short walk. A great base from which to explore NYC!

We very much enjoyed dining at the Peacock Alley where world famous recipes were born, including the eponymous Waldorf Salad and Red Velvet Cupcakes were invented. The staff at the Peacock Alley were exceptionally friendly which made the dining experience even more special!

We were sad to hear that the hotel will be temporarily closed and undergoing works in order to partly become private apartments. We hope that the atmosphere of the hotel, corridors and rooms is maintained!

The towers are more a story of history then they are of modern luxury. Every photo frame one each panel of the whitewashed walls contains a famous face when at the waldorf Astoria. Every head of state, every megastar of the golden age. Through the gilded revolving doors, past the reception that knows your name and across the concierge that knows too much.

The waldorf Astoria is situated here because the original site for the two hotels, the waldorf and the Astoria, was bought out to build the empire state building. The street between the two original hotels was called peacock alley, and that's the name of the hotels flagship restaurant today. There is fantastic modern history in every inch of the main hotel lobby. A throwback to what you can imagine the age of Elvis, Sinatra to have been like. And the power plays of degaulle and Roosevelt.

Staying here was a throwback to a time now past. Luxury at the dawn of the age of technology. Fantastic hotel. We visited a month before it shut it's doors, to be converted into condominiums by the Chinese. Imagine that. From the staying place of the American president when the UN was in session to an apartment owned by the Chinese. Globalisation here we come.
