We come down every summer. This year the hotel might have went through some renovations but the service keeping it clean was worse. The pool wasn’t kept clean. Every day the same water bottle was not picked up and there were never clean towels. I got a poolside room so we could enjoy the pool. The grandkids only came one day. Last year you couldn’t keep them away.we pick this location because it is close to other family.

Room tip: The location is very close to the beach. The rooms are average. Will probably stay again next year. The breakfast but I haven better.

It’s not the quietest place at times, but I keep coming back because of the great price and the clean rooms and friendly staff. Lower prices than most around, breakfast is a little crowded so plan accordingly. The pool area is nice and well kept.

Not too bad for being under construction. The price was very reasonable and to room renovations make a big difference. Didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast. Get a quiet room on the top floor if you can. Everyone was nice.Maybe give bigger discounts during construction. Thank you.

Room tip: Get a quiet room on the top floor if you can.

This was our first stay at this hotel and we did not know until we checked in that they are doing major renovations. The entire lobby is torn up and there are construction workers everywhere. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was basic and didn't interest me - the pancake maker was broken all three days of our stay. The pool looked nice, although we never used it. The rooms were average, but clean. The first night we returned to the hotel we found ants in our room and on the bed. The staff quickly moved us to a different room where there were no ants. We saw a staff member walking in the hallway the following day with a sprayer so we gathered that our room was not the only one with a problem. Overall the stay was fine, but we will likely look for a different hotel next time.

Originally reserved a ground level pool access room well in advance BUT was called about a week ahead of stay and told we may not be able to spend our complete stay in that location. Was told we would be "upgraded" to a King Suite if we would be willing to change our reservation, we agreed. We checkd in and took our bags to the "suite". Oh my, that's when we realized what a mistake we had made. This room was the WORST Holiday Inn room we had EVER stayed in, simply horrible. I asked to please be moved to one of the "renovated" rooms, which was accomodated. Not a huge improvement!!! Both of these rooms faced the parking lot, not the pool. Renovated room was shoddy at best, very poor workmanship. The floor plan is poor and uninviting, lighting was poor and inadequate. Window coverings did not completely cover the windows, so when the sun was up, so were you. GFI outlet in the bathroom had no power for the first two days of our stay, but thanks to Kyle Herrera, the one bright spot in our stay, we finally got it repaired. Thank you Kyle!

Bottom line, their pool area was quite pleasant and inviting. Their location is within minutes of Bradenton Beach and Longboat Key. The accolades end there however. Even though they are in the midst of a renovation, the following is an accurate observation; "you can put lipstick on a pig, but in the end it's still a pig"
