The hotel was very clean and welcoming. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that I have some allergies. This hotel is a pet friendly hotel so they put me on the 4th floor away from any signs or smells from pets. It was a very inviting suite and very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been any kinder.

Room Tip: As I mentioned, it is a pet friendly hotel and those rooms are on the first floor.

We were very disappointed with both the quality of our room and the management, especially for the price we paid (nearly $600 for 3 nights). Our room was damp which made everything including the beds, bedsheets and carpets damp. There were stains on the couch and carpet and leftover Cheerio's on the floor. While taking showers, water poured out of both the shower head and the bathtub faucet, which caused the tub to fill up with water. Also, there isn't anywhere to park near the hotel so employees attempted to shuttle us to parking areas at Lehigh University, however after about 30 minutes of driving around in the hotel van, that didn't work out either so an employee offered to give us their parking spot. On top of all this, another guest who was hanging out in the hallways was continually harassing us and making physical threats toward us. At one point she would not allow us to pass down the hallway to our room. We contacted the manager, David Urban, who refused to do anything about it and was actually quite rude to us about it. We ended up having to call the police. All in all, our stay was very uncomfortable and inhospitable for these reasons. I felt that this was all completely unacceptable and also unfortunate because I have had good experiences with other Comfort Suites, but absolutely not this one. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and I certainly won't be staying there ever again. Think twice before you book this place.

Very friendly staff here at the Comfort Suites University. Was very happy with the close location to Lehigh University, only about a 10 minute easy drive. Our room was a good size, happy to have a mini fridge and the quiet location up on the fourth floor was perfect. The only issue we had was that the wifi wasn't working for us during our stay, not a deal breaker. Would stay again if back in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floors were quiet, first floor rooms might be loud with the restaurant and lounge.

The hotel itself is kind of American standard, although the lobby is inviting and offers free 24 hour coffee service. We got a decent size room on the fourth floor with a whirlpool tub not quite big enough for two but great for a soak after several hours in the Sands Casino, which is nearby. What made this stay memorable was the world class, attentive service. Everyone from the front desk staff to the woman keeping the breakfast room stocked and spotless was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a genuine pleasure being treated as valued guests. We don't get to Bethlehem often but will make this our first choice for lodging. Features we especially liked: breakfast is served until 10:00 AM, noon checkout, guests get a couple of freebies from the snack bar, there is happy hour pricing and karaoke for those who choose to partake. But what puts Comfort Suites University head and shoulders above the typical small-city hotel experience is the staff. They are quite special.

Room Tip: Floors 4 and above are quieter and in somewhat better overall condition. Karaoke sounds were not noticeable even in the lobby.
