We booked this hotel because it had more favorable reviews than most other hotels in Philly in regards to staff and cleanliness. And it was clean and the staff was all friendly! We had Room 823. Right off the elevator but quiet with views of the park across the street. We had to request more towels and bedding for the pullout sofa during our stay but the front desk was super friendly and got everything to us super fast. They answered every time I called down. Rooms were decorated nicely, modern but it could use some sprucing up. Some small rips in carpet, scratches and small areas of damage in bathroom and shower. Bathroom needs WAY more storage. One small shelf stand on floor that holds towels and a hook on door. No shelves or anywhere to put cosmetics, toothpaste, etc other than the counter. With 2 adults and 2 kids we could use more space. Tried to go to Assembly Bar Friday night. It was very sheik and we could not get a table or even a drink. You can t order at the bar, you need a server. And you only get a server with a reservation. So we left. Snapped a great photo of Rocky Steps before we did though Urban Farmer had a good brunch. Expensive, slow service built again friendly staff. Bar drinks were really good too. Hotel has cute leather sofas and chairs all over to sit and enjoy a drink, have conversation, etc. great location for walking to Museum of Art, Franklin Institute and City Hall area. Uber was very pricey. Subway very easy to use to get around. Overall a good stay. If it wasn’t for COVID, staff shortages, etc. it would have been 5 star. Not the hotels fault tough, they did great. Be sure to tip these employees well, they work hard and keep a smile despite the inconveniences like wearing masks all day and following all new rules and regulations.

Room tip: Valet parking is $59/day but worth it for the convenience. Ask for view of the park on any floor. Rooftop bar res needed.

I am writing this on our 3rd-night stay. I'm extremely disappointed. Our trip was a family trip for 4 nights. I do not recommend staying in this hotel for more than a day due to their cleaning standards/policy as of today. We checked in on 16th Aug 2021. I am writing this on the 3rd night. So far they have not cleaned the rooms even once. They did not remove the bath towels. So 3 days of wet towels by four occupants. It smells so bad when we entered the room tonight. So, I have to make a request to at least remove the wet towels. Our experience is as follows:
a) Yesterday (2nd day), we asked for a housekeeping service, they said due to their recent policy, if someone stays in a room continuously, they will only do the housekeeping every 3 days. So, they refused to do the housekeeping yesterday. But when i made a request by explaining the situation. They asked for at least 24 hours of notice to do the housekeeping and I was ok with it
b) But, when we entered the room today, as i mentioned earlier, there was a bad odor due to the accumulated wet towels. I realized that they did not clean the rooms and changed the towels. So, I had to make a request to at least remove the towels again.
c) Every day, we have to make a request to provide fresh bath towels. Due to the closed room environment, the bath towel will be wet.
d) They will provide only 2 cups for the coffee maker. So, if you have more than 2 occupants in the room, You have to ask for more cups each time when you want to use a coffee maker. Again, if you wish to make coffee twice a day, you have to ask them again for a refill.
e) Again, if you stay more than a day, you have to keep asking for refill's and cups every day twice. Because you are staying more than a day. this goes for the tiny bottles of shower gels/ toiletries and trash removal. Is this a standard of a hotel claiming to be 5 stars! ? Even 2 or 3-star hotels are offering better service than this hotel. Real BAD experience.
We will not be staying again. I ALSO REALIZED THAT THEY WANT TO PUNISH THE CUSTOMERS FOR STAYING MORE THAN A DAY. THIS IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING !!! ???
(Addition)
They provided the tiniest fridge in our room. Most of it was also not working properly.

My apartment building was with out AC during a heat wave. So I packed up made a quick call and secured a room. Everyone was so helpful and worked hard to get what I needed especially for my dog!

Thanks!

The Logan is directly on Logan Square and well situated as a central point for visiting and exploring lovely downtown Philadelphia. I arrived by taxi and don't know what parking is like...

Check-in was easy and my room was quite nice. The room was large, included a nice desk and reading chair, a large bed, and a large bathroom area. One nice addition would be a better way to plug-in and charge accessories (how many do we have to travel with these days?). The charging set-up in place was old-fashioned.

Overall, I liked The Logan, slept well, and would return.

Picked this for two reasons; it's proximity to all activities on our list and it's my daughter-in-law's name. Bed was extremely comfortable, shower head great, room very spacious. Less expensive self parking a block away. Walking distance to many restaurants and attractions.
