Great location and a comfortable room. Very much enjoyed the croissants at breakfast. A lot of good restaurants and bar nearby (Libertine had a delicious prix fixe that I indulged). Great neighborhood to walk around or to launch towards tourist hot spots.More

We are staying here now due to my husband having it operation and needing to go back to the hospital for follow up early tomorrow morning. I can’t say enough good things about the staff here, they are truly kind and go out of their way. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and food and beverage have been amazing.
The hotel itself is small and charming, we wish we were staying under better circumstances because it’s in a great neighborhood. We will definitely be back, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in center city Philly

I stayed at the Alexander Inn for 10 nights with my cat. I was welcomed with open arms by the lovely Chris, who made sure my cat and I had everything for a comfortable stay. My room for the entire stay had windows on two sides and great views of center city, which were even more spectacular at night.
All staff was very attentive and would definitely stay there again.

The Alexander inn is The best hotel in the city of Philadelphia and customer service front desk is second to none the best. I make sure to come to this hotel every month because it's no other place I would rather be!

Cramped room, ancient furnishings, 15 year old TV, one-ply toilet paper, a single old elevator that takes eons, a trickle of water for the shower, which needs renovation like much of the rooms. Wonderful desk service and a patina of class, but it just needs some freshening and brightening. Old charm, you might call it, but not antique stylish at all.
