Lovely stay despite Covid restrictions.

We loved this location, in the Rittenhouse neighborhood. For most hotels, this is a quiet, strange time - but we appreciated the kindness of the desk staff.

Parking is impossible in this neighborhood - expensive and difficult on the street, and local garages are $30-$40 per overnight. We chose the hotel's valet parking for $60, and got used to it for the convenience. Nixon was a joy, he was friendly and efficient, and a wonderful greeter for the hotel!

Sigh,...

Second Philly hotel in two months with less than stellar housekeeping. Booked suites and the rooms were dated. We had to switch out from one of the rooms because of hair all over the couch.

On the bright side, Migul provided excellent service at breakfast. Sofitel also provided my children a nice introduction to afternoon tea at a reasonable price.

I loved absolutely everything.

This place...is emaculate The staff are amazing! So kind and attentive. They have little bar and the food is so delicious! And timely! My room was so beautiful. I had such a great view of the city and for the price ?! 10/10 We will be back!

Disappointed

I arrived on a Saturday night and the front desk could not find my reservation in the system that I booked several days prior. I booked directly on the website and showed them my confirmation, but it was literally nowhere to be found on their system. The front desk staff were very apologetic and did what they could to quickly rectify the situation, which I appreciated; however, I just found it strange and disappointing that a chain of this caliber would have this kind of issue. Then we get to the room which was mostly fine, but no exaggeration, it took 10-15 of running the water in the shower to get anything resembling hot water to come out. Staff were amazing and COVID protocols are great, but I'd be hard pressed to give this brand another chance.

My favorite hotel

Hotel Sofitel in Philadelphia is my favorite hotel. A great staff, attention to detail, and obviously very careful in this era of covid. Rooms are spacious. Location is wihtin walking distance of several restaurants and shopping. One you stay, you will want to come back again.
