I booked this last minute after a horrible air b & b stay. It is a bit expensive for the size of the room.

One plus is the snacks in the lobby area where the microwave was free.. or at least they didn't charge me since it was 3 am and I was drunk lol

The night manager light skin tall woman was a real gem. we had a wonderful conversation, she was really pleasant.

Cons: The room was somewhat small, and the housekeeping need to do better, the shower had that buildup along the bottom, otherwise it was clean, and there's a fridge. Whoever stayed on my floor slammed the doors all night until 5am in/out. it was horrible.

Room tip: There wasn't a lot of road noise, I was on 13 and facing the back, and the parade barely woke me.

This hotel in Philly was once a bank. And you can even see the vault, just next to the Gym.
It's very modern even though it's in an old building.
The rooms are small but comfortable. It has a small refrigerator and a coffee maker, as well as a safe.
The only thing I didn't like about Aloft Philadelphia is that we had to park our car in a garage around the corner. It would have been perfect if it had a garage.

Room tip: The car has to be parked in Whole Foods Parking, around the corner.

This hotel has the potential of being very nice. The location is convienient to everything. We walked to the historic district, Reading terminal martket is just around the corner, and we walked to the Barnes Institute (past the famWe had a room on the second floor over the bar area so it was a bit loud but not too bad. The Bar is fully stocked and the bar staff were engaging and fun. They make great drinks :)
House keeping is upon request only and we were not told that upon check in. For a 3 night stay, you would expect to have linens and towels exchanged at the very least but you need to request this by the night before so me aware of that. There were hairs (that did not belong to me) in the shower that I noticed (we just washed them away and did not complain, when we did request house keeping we were told it was too late and the font desk staff was rude to mu husband about this (the one with half of her face painted for halloween). We were happily surprised to see that our room was cleaned anyway, but found a dirty cleaning rag left behind on the side of the sink, and they did not leave a new bath mat so we just used a towel.

Room tip: Ask for a room that is not over the bar

Perfect location in Philly, especially if you enjoy walking. Amazing corner room overlooking city hall and skyscrapers. Everyone friendly and helpful. Great restaurants within an easy walk. Staff knowledgeable about the city. Hope we can return.

I stayed at the Aloft Philadelphia on the 1st of this month. This hotel, from the rooms to the people, is truly a class act.

The location is a short walk from Suburban / 15th Street Station, so very accessible by either MFL or Regional Rail. It's almost right next to the convention center, which seems to host the most random events (our stay intersected with a "Natural Products Expo").

Check-in was quick with no line. The check-in associate on Saturday afternoon went above and beyond to welcome us and to recognize Marriott status. We were upgraded to a spacious corner room with a great view of Broad st.

There's a hotel bar with creative cocktails and breakfast is served from the "market". The Platinum breakfast benefit ($25) was more than sufficient to cover a hearty breakfast for two. The bartender and breakfast helpers were wonderful.

Upon check-out, the associate (same as the one from Saturday afternoon) proactively offered to store our bags. She also provided what turned out to be an exceptional eatery recommendation, where we spent our last few hours in the city.

Many things about our weekend Philly trip didn't go right: 2-hour Amtrak delays and torrential downpours just to name a few. But the hotel was a different story: it will be top-of-mind for us when we return to the city.
