four of us went here at lunch during Philly Beer Week because of a special they were having. I would call this place a gastropub dive bar. dive bar with an eclectic atmosphere.
atmosphere..I think they were going for rustic hunting lodge...not sure but we liked it. check out the tiles around the room featuring characters from beer labels to the Simpsons TV show. Be sure to check out the bathrooms...really. Not sure if I have put that in a review before??? They have a lot of taps...we were here for a pilsner tap takeover. great choices. I imagine during a normal day they would have a good beer selection. Our table had four different sandwiches. We shared amongst ourselves. The sandwiches were all wildly good. very nice roll which makes a huge difference for a great sandwich. Short Rib sandwich and lodge steak sandwich were outstanding. Friendly staff. I would go back in a second.

The talented and creative owner, Scoats was able to get this rare, sought after beer this year. It kicked in 4 minutes 36 seconds. The crowd as always was festive. Besides bringing in some very good craft beers, Grey Lodge also boasts a number of amusing events such as Groundhog Day (a re-enactment that is not to be missed - Bill Murray would approve), "Firkenteeth" tappings celebrated any calendar month when the 13th falls on a Friday, and others. The Lodge, along with an appealing food menu, also offers a well stocked whiskey selection for those so inclined. Bar staff are friendly, congenial and if your looking for a cerebral challenge ask for bartender Steve. Some of the best beer-crowd conversations I've ever witnessed takes place at the Grey Lodge. Street parking is limited and may require a bit of patience but it is definitely worth the effort.

The Grey Lodge Pub has one of the best menu's for food AND beer in the northeast! I made the mistake of ordering the taco's on "Taco Tuesday" and it might be the only thing on the menu that sucks. I had a pulled pork taco, chicken, and one of the specials (had ham and olive spread on it). They were so boring and bland I had to add ketchup to the chicken and had to ask for salsa to add to the other two. The only thing good about them was the price (3 for $8). Do yourself a favor and order anything else besides the tacos.

Most recent of several visits. If you're a beer lover, this is he place. Always a full, well balanced cue of droughts with something special waiting in the wings when one is kicked. Great burgers, too and Best In Philly fries.

They always have 10 craft beers on tap and numerous others in bottles/cans. Their food menu is very good with weekly specials that bring the Lodge up to a very good gastro-pub. Bartenders are friendly. They could use some happy hour specials.
