100% gluten free and beyond delicious!! This is not like polenta you have ever
eaten before and has become my very favorite place to dine.
The polenta and meatballs are a must for anyone checking out this little gem for the first time. The food is so incredible, I would eat anything the chef made.

We've eaten here many times, as a couple and as a group (of both 4 and 5). The decor is beautiful; a very clever use of the tiny space. Both the dining room and bathroom are spotless. And the food: outstanding and healthy (although we are not gluten free, the menu is). If you don't know 'polenta', it's an Italian comfort food of sorts ... a cornmeal base on which awesome toppings sit: meat balls, a simple and fantastic tomato sauce, seasonal vegetables, shrimp, sausage) ... There's a salad or two and a huge mixed plate of polenta sticks, buffalo mozz, San Daniele proscuitto, tomatoes, basil and olive oil - it's excellent; perfect to share. Desserts are off-the-charts. We've had all of them; can't go wrong. But most of all, Vincenzo is the kindest, sweetest man ever. He's both accommodating and pleasant. And loaded with Italy information! He's generous, funny and fun to chat with (in English or Italian). And sometimes his 9 year old son is there; cute doesn't begin to describe him. We thoroughly enjoy meals here in this super tiny, adorable and reasonably priced neighborhood gem. And we love that it's BYO.

It's hard to find restaurants in Baltimore that are healthy, delicious, authentic (Italian cuisine) AND reasonably priced. That's why we think that Polenta Cafe' is a unique experience, in a family-run, community atmosphere; we met so many people we knew while dining outdoors on the Avenue. And the presentation is really artistic, we noticed passers by eyeing our dishes. My wife (from Reggio Emilia) was enthusiastic, and she comes from the gastronomic region of Italy! Dulcis in fundo: if you like Nutella but prefer a healthier alternative, Polenta offers the nocciolata "Rigoni di Asiago". It can't get any better than that! The owner was single-handedly managing the Saturday night clientele, along with his helpful child. Grazie mille e arrivederci!

Had lunch here with my wife and son. Loved it. The owner is very friendly. Works hard to make you feel welcome. The shrimp, sausage and meatball dishes were all very good.
