The same owners have a pasta bar in the same neighborhood, I have not been there but really do like this place. The Hampton area is a hot place for trendy restaurants and this is a gem.
All of your normal appetizers but some some very interesting ones. Fagioli All’Uccelletto ,Farro , Lenticchie , Cozze in Padella and 8 diferant types of Salumi. Very authentic! We had 2 amazing dishes-Orecchiette con Friarielli & Salsiccia which is pasta with sausage and broccoli, also Risotto con Zucchini Trifolati .For the main course the Osso Buco was outstanding. Some interesting deserts and an excellent beer and wine selection.

Have been here several times in the last year. The menu has interesting Italian Items, not the run of the mill Italian menu. Restaurant is in an old row house setting. Dining rooms on the first and second floor. Upscale casual decor. Food has been delicious each visit. Really like the Shrimp served on grilled bread.
Small parking lot at the back which is great in crowded Hamden with the awful backward angled street parking.

I thoroughly enjoyed lunch with a friend on a weekday afternoon at Grano. The food was delicious and very authentic. The resturant was not overly crowded and we had very good service.

We were visiting Baltimore and decided to seek Italian food outside the "Little Italy" area. We found this small cozy restaurant for lunch. The waiter was excellent made excellent wine suggestions and gave us a taste of his suggested wines.

The chef's salad was fresh and tasty. The dressing was excellent. The pasta dishes are all homemade and freshly prepared. We are looking forward to returning for. Dinner.

We were searching for a nice restaurant to have early dinner on a Sunday in Hampden and a friend recommended Grano Emporio. We were one of the first tables to be seated inside however the patio was almost full at 5 PM. My wife and I shared a Salumi and cheese plate and we both had a pasta: the homemade mushroom ravioli and the oricchetti with sausage. The food was excellent and it gave me an opportunity to break out a wonderful bottle of old wine from Tirano. We had never eaten here before however we definitely plan to try it again.
