Description: Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.

Enjoyed (another) delicious meal of wide variety of tapas. Bartender was fantastic assisting us with taps ideas and accompanying wine. Hip vibe. Just wish I could hear the tunes.

Terrific place for an informal dining experience. Lots of great small dishes and unusual brews at a reasonable price. Great place to come with friends for a fun evening. The tapas selections are varied and tasty from octopus to Spanish hams and cheeses. The atmosphere is always up beat but can be noisy (it's a pretty large place). The place always seems busy so try to reserve ahead of time for larger parties. Eating at the bar is always a good option. Capable and friendly staff.

Hosted a dinner of 13, and the place was buzzing, with a long wait for those with no reservation. Decided to let wait staff pick their top selections and were not disappointed. Highlights were scallops, mussels, short ribs, chorizo & figs, eggplant, and steak. Nice drink list with good sangria. Wait staff was very attentive, with great spacing of the many plates. Bread was awesome!

Creative food. Tapas in a broad way, not conventional and creative. You can find the typical ones, but also some surprises, like 'caponata', that fits in the style of the tapas and it's delicious but it's originally from Sicily. I loved everything I tried.
