Owner description: Explore the Lake Powell side of world-famous Antelope Canyon – perhaps one of the most photographed slot canyons on Earth. This personalized tour takes you from Antelope Point Marina downlake along the Colorado River’s original channel to the canyon opening along sheer redrock cliffs. Safely navigable, the narrow canyon – with towering walls of ancient Navajo sandstone – is awe-inspiring and unique.

This is a great one hour tour with amazing views of the canyon. Our guide, Candace, was super friendly.

Perfect Cruise, the boat goes 4 miles into the Canyon. The staff was great. I went at Sunset and the Sun came on our return to the Marina. A WOW moment for sure.

Three of us vacationing in the southwest took the Antelope Canyon boat tour! Other than a loud mouth passenger (always seems to be one) on our boat, the experience was excellent! Melvin, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the canyon, how the walls of the canyon got their shape, and shared all of his knowledge with us. He was definitely a highlight of our trip. We were lucky that we did this on a clear, sunny day. The beauty and color of the canyon is more than breathtaking! And everyone at Antelope Canyon Marina was way more than accommodating, helpful and friendly!

Taking this tour was way better than the big boat that can’t get into the canyon very far. Not to mention cheaper! Our guide was very informative and safe. We enjoyed this very much. Don’t miss seeing the canyon from the water.

Lake Powell is huge and taking a 1-hour boat tour with Antelope Canyon Boat Tours will show you only a tiny, tiny glimpse of it. Just keep this in mind when you book. Now, this is not to say that this boat tour isn't worth your dime (a pretty steep $28 per person, and you need to pay the entrance fee to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area or have a valid park pass and there’s an entrance fee to the marina as well, sigh), just know what you're in for. It easily takes up to 10 minutes to get out of the marina and into the narrower canyons that define Lake Powell (and what people will generally think of when they hear the words Lake Powell). It then takes another 10 minutes to get back, so you'll get to (really) enjoy only about 40 minutes. Staff is friendly and will go out of their way to make sure anybody gets to make photos from the boat's front (although, believe me, the ones taken from the back are equally as nice), but I thought they could have provided some more background information about Lake Powell. Take into consideration that the walkway from the ticket booth to the actual boat is long and quite a strenuous hike (although they do offer courtesy shuttles), so show up in time. If you do have enough time (and money), I would probably recommend taking a boat tour out to Rainbow Bridge and see more of Lake Powell as such, but as a short introduction to Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon Boat Tours will do the trick.
