After having items stolen by staff at a different hotel, the staff at LeConte View made me feel safe to leave my room again. My family has stayed here all my life. I tried somewhere else because of a special offer and it ended up biting me in the rear. I should have stuck with LeConte. It's not new. It's not fancy. But it is clean and the staff is friendly. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. The location is out of this world, right on the strip across from the convention center. Price is average for Gatlinburg. If you want something flashy and fancy, go somewhere else. But if you want something that is family friendly, close to the action, with an amazing staff, stay at LeConte View.

Room Tip: Some buildings are newer than the other. The newer rooms are also more expensive.

On one of our many trips to Gatlinburg we stopped at LeConte M.L. in downtown Gatlinburg and were able to get a room for the night. It was a summer weekend and the lady at the front desk was GREAT! We told her we had never stayed there so she picked us a room in the building (there are 3) which looks up toward Mount LeConte.
Sure, the rooms are older and a bit tired, but they are clean and spacious and our 5th floor balcony had a view that was wonderful.
They have a nice indoor pool area with a hot tub, and a sweet little mini breakfast in the lobby. It was a hoot to stay in the very heart of town with all the foot traffic and convenience and mountain views.
The housekeeping staff is very concerned about your comfort and happiness and they are like worker bees cleaning around the place, how sweet is that these days!?
Overall we'd recommend this place to our friends.

Room Tip: The building with 5 floors has really great views of the mountains. From the corner rooms you can look down and watch the people out on the street and the lights at night are pretty.

Our family of 4 stayed here during our vacation and had 2 rooms. We stayed in the oldest building. It had a cool retro feel. Nothing fancy, but very clean! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The indoor pool was nice with a great view. The outdoor pool was right on the strip. We would definitely stay again.

My family has been going to Gatlinburg for 53 years and they have stayed at LeConte for all of those 53 years. Over the years it has changed and we have stayed in the same rooms, as well. The location is the BEST and you can sit outside the front in rocking chairs and watch the people go by. It is right in front of the Convention center, so if you are going there and need that convenience...stay there! Also, the price can't be beat. Just know that it is old, and it shows in the older rooms, but we have been told that they are doing renovations to all of the older rooms (where we stay) in the next year. If you want to stay in newer rooms (flat screens, etc..) you want to stay in the new section on floors 4,5, or 6. Just ask when you call.

Know that they don't have a huge breakfast...just small pastries, coffee and juice. So, if that's what you want, it's not for you. But it is clean and the staff is so nice. They will bring you whatever you need. I forgot my hairdryer and they did have one at the front office. Don't let the "oldness" put you off from staying here! Park right in front of your door in the old part! Love that! And there are a few covered spots for motorcycles (like my husband and me)

Room Tip: Older rooms only have doubles...newer rooms in tower. The rooms on the side of the pool get the evening sun, so it's hard to sit outside the room in the summer, but it's just for 2-3 hours like that.
