You just have to experience this place. Free tastings, live music & fun historical facts.

I never knew Nascar and Moonshine went together - although now it makes perfect sense. It was interesting to see them cooking the stuff. If you're not much of a drinker - they have some very interesting salsa and barbecue sauces available for tasting. Then some weird random things like pickled beets, hooch beans, hot okra and death garlic. Too bad those weren't available for tasting!!

If none of the above appeals to you, let everyone else go on ahead while you pull up a rocking chair and listen to the boys sing and feel like you've just stepped into a great George Clooney film.

“Very Nice place to relax”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Found this place and loved it. We could hear the bluegrass music from the Parkway and walked in and browsed the mix of food and shirts. They have a free sampling that was packed. Have your ID ready and this moonshine does have a kick! If you do not want to sample just sit in a rocking chair and listen to bluegrass music playing and people watch.

Free moonshine ! pretty cool atmosphere. When we went there was a bango type of band playing outside the distillery in the courtyard area. Kids enjoyed that while the adults got to try every flavor on the shine! MMM! There were about 7 or 8 flavors I think,. I stopped after 4. LOL Apple Pie was the best!!

“Friendly staff, delicious moonshine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2012

Upon arriving at the distillery, we were thoroughly impressed with the staff's friendliness as we were greeted as soon as we walked in. Even though the store was extremely busy like it always was, the staff would always make sure that we were taken care of and all of our questions and/or needs were taken care of. They allowed tasting of any of their products as long as the tasters were 21 years of age or older. All of the items that we tried were delicious. I would personally recommend the apple pie moonshine. It seemed to be the tastiest of all.

This Distillery is a great place to check out because of the museum side of the store and of course the taste testing side of the store! They have about 5-6 different flavors of shine. And they will serve up as many shots as you want. You can test them all twice before you purchase anything, or you can just test them out and not buy anything. Great place to go check out before a night on the town! Try the peach and apple pie! I think the pints sell for about 20 bucks.
