In a town mostly catering for low-end mass tourism, full of large hive-like budget hotels designed primarily for crashing after a night of partying or a day of hiking, Laurel Springs lodge shines as a completely different, much better place to stay.

The house is lovely, the location is great, the room we had was very pretty, large and cosy. It's spotlessly clean. The outside patio is nice for nighttime drinks. Breakfast was good. It's not luxurious or particularly polished, but it's a good, peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

Dan and Karen gave us wonderful directions to find their B&B. It is so cute and charming. Our room was lovely and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. In addition, they were very helpful with things to do and places to eat. The availability of an afternoon cookie and cup of coffee was wonderful after three-four hours of hiking. We definitely recommend this B&B.

Stayed for four nights in August, Dan and Karen are great host's, Breakfast choices are creative and very tasty,
The rooms are warm and cozy, and very clean. Located just close enough to town to walk, but far enough out to be quite and peaceful. Would stay there again without question.

Our room was cozy (we stayed in the smallest room available). When we wanted to sit and read, we had a choice of the living room, enclosed porch or outside gazebo. Excellent breakfasts, with several choices each day. Karen and Dan were great hosts.
We walked everywhere or took the $2 a day trolley. Lovely area. We'll be back!

We stayed three nights in the B&B and had a great experience. The B&B is located close enough to town to walk, but far enough away to be out of the craziness of Gatlinburg. Also, it is conveniently located to the bypass, so, you can chose that as an alternative around Gatlinburg to get to the park entrance. We stayed in the room on the main floor, which was nice for us since we used the living area of the B&B quite a bit. The room was a bit tight, but, the extra space in the living area more than made up for that. Also, if you are disturbed by small noises, you might want a room on another floor since this room is near the kitchen and cooking starts fairly early. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Dan and Karen are wonderful hosts.
