We went in October and got a balcony suite overlooking the parkway. It was a 2 room suite with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The location is good with the ski tram almost across the street. They were having a car show, which we were unaware of, the cars were very noisy outside our room till late into the night. The police finally showed up and it was much quieter after 5hat. The breakfast is ok, they do make omelets to your order, otherwise it’s just ok. The hotel is clean and the staff were nice. If we go back we probably will stay elsewhere.

Came for a long weekend rates were reasonable, room was nice. We stayed in the king suite that offered a hot tub and fireplace. A previous reviewer stated the fireplace made the room smell like gas, very true we too had to shut it off and air out our room. The hotel staff was very accommodating, housekeeping kept our room tidy and refilled our toiletries daily. Breakfast was good, not great but since it's included in your stay what's there to complain about! It was conveniently located right on the strip, making it an ideal and reasonable place to stay.

It was lovely! Had a new looking room with a separate bedroom and Jacuzzi tub, a fireplace, nice living room area, and a balcony overlooking the Gatlinburg strip. I was surprised at the nit picky reviews this hotel has received recently. Nothing is perfect, and I thought, with the fires last year, the city has done an amazing job of repairing and getting things back in order. Wonderful trip!!

Stayed here for three nights in late October. Had a king suite with fireplace and jacuzzi. From the pictures it appeared that the jacuzzi and fireplace were in the same room, but they were in different rooms. Fireplace was in living room and jacuzzi was in bedroom. Not a huge deal but I had been hoping for them to be in same room. Jacuzzi worked great, hot water not an issue (I had read some reviews saying that hot water was slow or didn't work, we had plenty of hot water no problem -- we were on 3rd floor near elevator). Fireplace was a switch-on gas fireplace which was great but it gave off fairly strong gas smell when it first started up so you had to open the balcony door. The free breakfast was pretty good, the hot bar was the same thing every day -- biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage. There was an omelette station but there was always a line so we never waited for it. No bacon which was a bummer. There were two waffle stations and also fruit and yogurt and muffins/bagels/cereal. The free breakfast was a good thing to have first thing to tide you over while you waited on a table at Crockett's across the street. This being Gatlinburg I wasn't expecting a four star hotel and this fit my expectations. The front desk was friendly and the housekeeping was awesome, they were fast and managed to clean and freshen up our room while we were at breakfast each day. Always plenty of towels which was another plus. The only ding I have on the housekeeping is that on the first day when we got there I went to take a shower and it was clear the shower had not been totally cleaned bc there was some hair on the built-in soap shelf. Not a huge issue but kind of colored the first impression of the room. All in all I'd recommend the hotel and we would stay here again. It was great for a romantic getaway. I'd definitely choose this over one of the newer hotels done in the modern style. I come to gatlinburg for cozy, not hip.

We've been staying here with family at least a half dozen times for nearly two decades, and our recent experience has been the most disappointing. The place lost (or chose to not renew) their Clarion Choice Hotel status. That fact, along with the fact that the group marketing manager has found employment elsewhere in town, were both red flags to us. Hot water was non-existent...the front desk said it was a known plumbing issue? That's just one of the many issues here as the rooms and amenities literally haven't been updated since the place opened in the early 90s. We were told the owner plans to invest 7-digits into updates "soon." Time will tell, but we are looking for another location for our annual family gathering for 2018. If updates 'really' happen, we will return. If not, we won't. Our cousin, who lives in nearby Knoxville, said she will check it out in the spring to see what, if any, "updates" actually have taken place, so stay tuned....

The location is phenomenal, just outside the national park. If just some basic upkeep was to occur, this place would be the a goldmine!
