A must see in Aleppey! Highly recommended! The things which r in showcase from round the world, doubt one will able to see at their life time!! Ask for a guide to explain the story behind each moments!
Those who r confused in buying expensive gifts, from here they can make a check list for a life time!

Appreciate and thanks a million for their kind heart to make this available for public!

If you value your hard earned money. I request you to go somewhere else. I visited it yesterday and was frustrated

Firstly the guys there think you come from some cheapo family. They peach on Buick. They keep shunting you from touching anything.

Guys for heaven sake a Swarovski crystal isn't something most Indians haven't seen. It doesn't cost a diamond rate to buy em.

What is depressing is to see a muesuem which is about some rich dude who loved collecting ivory. It's sad to note ivory collection. I personally feel there should be a museum dedicated to elephants.

Further , the amount of stuff on display only shows that it's a one man show.. Ravi Karunakaran

None of the people who worked for him to bring greatness is shown. The people who built coir matteresses have no attribution.

A wall is for their family. The people who slogged and built these are no where.

If really Betty wanted to be nice. She could have donated this to charity and helped 100s of people, unfortunately I could neither online not on Google find how the industry benefitted and most importantly the people of this great industry. For there should be a museum for them not for someone who had loads of money.

A superb museum created by Betty in memory of her late husband Ravi Karunakaran. The Swarovski crystal collection is really amazing. Have never seen anything like this. Probably the best in the world. And the company continues to send Betty the latest releases.
Havent met Betty, but spend an evening in the house of her cousin and discussed the collection over a sumptuous dinner.

This is a private collection. Betty has travelled all over the world any number of times collecting art and artefacts and making friends. Some of the heavy statues have ben transported from Europe and elsewhere.
When asked the value of the collection, the curator answer was "Priceless".

We were a bit sceptical as the entry fee of Rs 150 per head was quite high. However the contents of the museum took our breath away. The private museum houses a huge collection of valuable crystals, crystal works, ivory works and other artifacts. While most museums have a collection of the excellent, good and the ordinary, the Revi Karunakaran Museum stands out for the high proportion of items in the ëxcellent" category. Each item on exhibit seems to have been tastefully picked, presented and maintained. You cannot but marvel at the fine taste and aesthetics of the collectors for the efforts which have gone into this museum. Without high passion such a lovely collection would have been impossible. Hats off to Mrs Revi and the collectors of the previous 2 generations!
