I am new to trip adviser as only used it before we flew to Bali at the beginning of September, so here goes......
My husband and I travelled to Bali on Sept 3rd for 9 1/2 nights leaving behind three children so we could celebrate our 10th anniversary with some relaxation. We stayed at Legian in the Ramada Camakila (not to be mixed with Ramada Bintang). We cannot fault the recpetion we were given on arrival. Beautiful lobby, friendly smiles, attentive service, lovely cold welcome drink and very swift chek-in process. We were escorted to our room by one of the lovely staff who insisted in carrying our luggage up the flights of stairs.
The room was lovely, Very big and open and a HUGE bed. Everything was very neat and tidy and we were shown all the bits and pieces we needed to know, then left to enjoy.
To give an honest review of the room, we would say, the bathroom is clean, but not entirely well designed. i.e water flows over the bath surround which they have tried to rectify. The toliets flush well and we didn't have any probelm with nay odour as others had described.
The TV in the room is tiny!!! And as the rooms are so spacious, it means it is even tinier from sitting in bed, We watched some dvds and if there were subtitles you could not read from the bed.

All the lighting works from bedside points. There were great block out curtains onto a lovely little verandah with seats and a little table and a drying rack for clothes/swimming gear etc.
There is a full wardrobe with complimentary gowns, slippers and it also houses the safe which each guest resets with their own code.
The bed is huge as I mentioned and we love a firm bed, but I would say it was maybe just a little too firm. The bedding was changed daily and beds were well made.
We were on the thrid floor as we requested not be near to the pool as it mayu have been too noisy early mornings. There are no lifts, but we are fit and young and loved the exercise.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and extremely well maintained. ANy leaf that dropped was quickly picked up so as to not go in the pools! The gardens, ponds, and pools very tidy and very clean.
The main pool runs through the buildings and is lovely to swim in. Nice and deep with little lie back seats and also a lovely temp even with 32C + temps. We made friends with people staying in a room directly poolside and they said the noise levels were ok, but they did have their kids and were up early. Ask to be further away if it may bother you.
The second smaller pool is an infinity pool which directly overlooks the ocean which we thoroughly enjoyed as it is a bit quieter (and after all we were there without our kiddies)
The hotels run from Legians main streets through to the seafront and from this we thought the location was brilliant. We loved being able to go out and do some shopping, have a bite to eat at the many fantastic little eateries and just absorb that side of Bali. Equally we loved going for a long walk after breakfast on the beach, or hiring a sun lounger for the day.
We chose not to eat in the hotel, other than breakfast which was a huge menu and very very good. If you like tea, ask for another tea bag in your cup as they make there teapots very weak.
Their are many many fantastic places to eat outside the hotel and for a quater of the price. Huge recommendation is Tekor...towards Seminyak from the hotel on the beachfront. AMazing food and vey cheap (mains, plus alcoholic drinks for 2 people under $20 !!!)
SO overall....we LOVED our trip and will def go back and possibly to this hotel as it would be perfect with kids. Bali is so friendly and so easy to be in.
Hope this is helpful.More
