Located with 50 meters of Obihiro station, and in the downtown food and shopping area, this hotel is a good choice if convenience and price are your sole concerns. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and the custom pillow area is a neat idea. Rooms, amenities, bath, TV and most other aspects of the hotel are both average and a bit worn or old. The rooms are clean, but soundproofing is not always effective. The remarkably bad breakfast requires explanation - tiny amounts of a very small variety of generic food, badly prepared rice, stale corn flakes, no hot foods at all, other than the rice and miso soup, no bread of any kind - the overwhelming impression was of absolute minimum effort and expense. I've been to many hotels in Japan, large, small, cheap and pricey, and this was the single worst breakfast I have ever had. If you are going to stay in Obihiro, in the station area, there are many better hotel options at a similar price.

Room Tip: Rooms further away from the station will be quieter.

The hotel is located next to the JR Obihiro station. The room is small but clean and good enough. They have a large public bath and sauna. But both male and female have to share. Women can use it from 3pm to 8:50pm, then men can use it from 9pm. I wanted to use sauna before dinner though. Not convenient.

This is a nice hotel in the town centre with paid tower parking. You can choose your pillow with different softness. Facial mask, tea, and bath salts are provided. There is also a public bath and a common rest area where you can relax, drink tea, read (there are massage chairs and manga books) etc.

Pancho Butadon is just a 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.

I would definitely stay in this hotel again during my next visit.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable which is a few steps away from JR Obihiro Station. Although it is a typical business chain hotel, all the facilities and the free breakfast are very adequate for a stop-over tourist. The room price is pretty competitive and affordable in terms of the location, newness and the facilities of the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on a road trip through Hokkaido. We enjoyed the central location right next to the railway station (as to be expected from a JR Inn I guess). A highlight of the stay was the breakfast which was included in our room price. While it is not a real breakfast buffet (the Japanese breakfast consisted of one rotating dish and sides, with some cereals as an alternative), it was quite copious and really delicious.

If you are interested in using the onsen, note that there is only one with different timings for male and female.

Our car was too high for the automated car park right behind the hotel (I think it can only take cars up to 1.40 or 1.60), so we were given a spot on a surface car park a short walk away, but that wasn't really an issue.

If there's one thing we didn't like much is that the room is rather tiny, as with many other Japanese hotels we stayed at.
