It is a wonderful place to visit and walk through the different areas of the garden to see what they have done or added each Spring ,Summer and Fall weddings are held here and it is a nice place to have a nice quiet sit in the garden and just enjoy nature in the middle of a busy bustling campus.

Look, learn and enjoy the many "zones" of various gardens and plant types. Or, just sit on a bench and inhale it all. Or, using the supplied food pellets, feed the golden Koi fish in the water garden. This place is wonderful. Really wonderful. You can kiss nature here and nature will kiss you back.

Maintained as part of the horticulture program at the University of Wisconsin, this garden provides an oasis on campus. A variety of beds surround a historic Victorian house. The shade garden is a cool respite on a hot summer day. The vegetable garden and edible landscape examples will inspire any gardener. Fruit trees, perennial borders, formal garden, pond with bridge, rock garden-there is something for everyone. Inventive use of plants in containers and outdoor sculptures add more interest. Though winter is a quiet time, visit during any season and you will be rewarded. There is no charge for the garden. Tours are self-guided. Parking can be challenging as meters across the street are 25 minutes and are strictly enforced.

A tricky to find, but worth the effort beautiful garden that my wife always insists on visiting every year. It's a regular go to spot when friends are visiting Madison.

Nice variety of plantings, and they are well cared for. Very relaxing place to spend a few hours. I haven't attended any events there, but I have seen them setting up for events, and think it would be a great place to host an event.
