An absolute beacon of calm in a city of chaos. So glad we stopped in here for a moment of beauty (and monks chanting) in a five-day trip of self-indulgence.

Definitely worth a walk inside to see the beautiful sanctuary. It is an actively used church, so it is somewhat limited on where you can walk. Andrews Park is directly in front of the church and makes a nice place to sit.

A true sanctuary at the heart of the French Quarter. Step inside St Louis Cathedral and enter history in the making.
It’s beautiful and full of relics, history, architecture, community.

Very impressive cathedral, well maintained. Painted ceiling, stained glass windows and art works all are exquisite. It is free. But we donated of course!

Words can not convey the beauty inside this cathedral. They have so much information ready for visitors at the church and many of the local tours will take you by and give you the history.
