Get the seafood beignet, you will not be disappointed. The aioli that comes with it is perfect. The service is amazing as well.

Don't miss this on your taste of New Orleans tour. The fried oyster Po' Boy and the Sweet Potato Andouille soup was incredible.
We spent the night before a cruise in New Orleans and wanted to meet a local friend for dinner. We asked him to pick a family friendly spot and he immediately suggested Katie's. It was perfect in a noisy, casual, traditional NOLA way. We got there early to beat the crowds and we were glad we did. The food and service were great. We would go back again next time we are in town.
Have had better experiences in the past. Tonight there was a long wait, a miscommunication regarding tables outside, very slow service--even for water, and when food finally came some was cold. I've lived this spot in the past and will not rule it out but hopefully future experiences will be better.
Causal corner restaurant in Mid City of New Orleans has us going back time and time again. Has some outdoor seating during good weather (including outdoor overhead heaters) and a goodly number of tables inside for large groups. Mostly locals but during Jazz Fest and other festivals, expect large crowds. Parking is on the street so be prepared to hunt for a spot.
