The main downside was the noise outside of the hotel room. This is a nice hotel, but seems dated. The walk from the elevator to the room was unexpectedly long. It was a good price value, since we booked just hours before we checked in.

We returned to the Omni Hotel Riverfront, having stayed there prior to a cruise a few years ago. This is a nice hotel with most of the desired amenities. It's in the developing warehouse district where many of the best new restaurants are opening. (Our new favorite is Galliano, just a block from the hotel.) At the Omni, you get quiet nights and an easy walk to the French Quarter. We generally park the car and leave it during our stays.

My children and I evacuated Hurricane Irma and arrived at the omni from St. Petersburg Florida looking for shelter. The omni staff welcomed us and frankly we were not in the best of shape. Brian upon check in upgraded our room to help find us the most space. The room was wonderful and the staff was amazing with their level of service. The parking staff went above and beyond to help me unload the car after a 15 hour drive and were great with the family. Thank you Omni for the best evacuation help I could ever ask for. You made a tough situation bearable. Great location to both French Quarter and Warehouse Art District. !!!!

Staff was very friendly & accommodating both on arrival & departure. The room was extremely nice & huge, felt very comfortable. Most people don't talk about the bathroom, but I will, it was very roomy & the shower was a big walk-in shower, which is what I like. I will be staying there when I go back to NOLA.

First let me start by saying that this was a third party booking through Hotwire and not directly with the hotel. It was holiday and festival weekend in New Orleans. The rooms, fees and taxes together were less than 150.00 a night compared to around 250+ per night through other sources. After driving 8 hours we arrived around 1000pm. The valet quickly greeted us. We were then greeted by two friendly and professional front desk attendants (Raylon, ?). Checked in and off to the room within 5 minutes. The room (210) was comfortable and nicely decorated. Two very large windows overlooking Peters Street and Riverwalk Shopping. The room definitely served its purpose.

Having stayed at several hotels in and around the French Quarter, the biggest complaints are parking/valet fees, no free wifi and air conditioning issues. There is no self parking here, only valet at 35.00 a day which is about low average for NOLA. WiFi is 10.00 a day for "guest" (average) but there also a "public" profile that was free although the connection was iffy at times. The AC was a perfect 67 for the entire stay even in the NOLA heat/humidity. Had one issue, called and spoke with Tim at the desk, very professional and he was sending someone up but the problem rectified itself.

There is also no pool on site, if that is a requirement for you.

It was a great stay and somewhere I would definitely stay again.
