I have to agree with all the other reviewers - this is a fantastic place to stay.
I was in cabin 4 - clean, tidy, comfortable, easily walkable to the centre of Custer with it's assortment of dining and shopping and "the Lost Sock" laundrette!
There are TVs, not flat screen but who cares, just look at the views and wildlife. It's a lovely collection of wooden cabins so not 'modern' but it has everything you need to enjoy your stay.
Close to all of South Dakota's "Great 8" places to visit and Devil's Tower in neighbouring Wyoming.
I was there for a week for the Buffalo Round Up - which is worth getting up at 05.30 for. . .and Ann lent me a folding chair.
but . . there's always a 'but' . . . . BEST OF ALL - I was a 'mature' lady travelling alone and I was made to feel SO welcome by Ann and John and their amazing family - which I very quickly felt I had been adopted into. Nothing was too much trouble for them, despite their busy lives they always found time to chat, offer advice and make sure everything was OK.
Go and stay - but if you do be prepared for the sadness when you have to leave such a lovely place.More
