This hotel is a very nice hotel close to the city center of Kaprun. For wintersport holidays this is a great place to go. Very nice rooms, great staff, traditional food and everything is on walking distance.

We had a lovely stay at this family-run hotel which was full of character. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
On our wedding anniversary we were presented with a cake and our holiday rep. gave us a bottle of champagne. They did not have to do this, it was a lovely touch.
If they read this review I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Hotel Gasthof Mitteregger.
The added bonus of having a Summer Card for use on the cable cars (free up the Kitzsteinhorn instead of 40€ each), local buses (each journey 1€), museums and boat ride on the lake at Zell Am See (free) made this a very attractive deal.

We have just returned from a week in The Mitteregger. The location is perfect for the slopes, ski school and bus routes. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The food is amazing fresh produce perfectly presented. We had a large comfortable room with a wrap round balcony with amazing views. We had requested a room with a bath via Crystal holidays which the hotel never had but upon arrival having found we only had a shower the reception changed our room without any problem. We can honestly say we left feeling like part of the family. Thanks to all the staff for such a fun welcoming holiday. Do not hesitate to book this hotel you will not regret it. Lorraine and Anthony

Chosen for its location and room, myself and my mate were very unhappy with the food quality, quantity and staff attitude during our week's snowboarding. After burning thousands of calories in the day, we expected wholesome Austrian food at night ,but got a small three course meal from a very limited menu. Added to this was the fact that people were smoking in the bar (staff included), and the staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly. I have visited Austria 5 times now and this is the most unhappy I have been with a hotel and staff. We ate out three nights, so that is how upset we felt.

Room Tip: Try and get a balcony, not all rooms have them.

This is a wonderful family-run hotel. The staff is warm and friendly and helpful. The board and restaurant quality was wonderful and the wait staff was great. Our room was in the original wing of the hotel, build in the 1400s! How cool is that? We had a wrap-around balcony with views of the mountains and the valley. It was beautiful.
