What a wonderful hotel experience we had at the Hotel Waldheim! Monica, the proprietor, and her sister Karin were so welcoming and incredibly helpful the whole week. Any request we made or question we asked were taken care of immediately. The rooms are large and charming, the tea and cake at 4pm delightful as are the four-corse dinners. Plus the hotel is a short walk to the main Penken gondola, but we’ll off the Main Street.

Location, service, room and breakfast were just perfect during our ski trip in Mayrhofen. We had also special request for gluten free products for breakfast and this was arranged with multiple options to choose from. Close to both Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn lifts.Nice SPA area.
Excellent location, very good service from all the family who runs the hotel. Excellent breakfast with fresh and tasty bread every day, cucambers, tomatoes and many kind of cheese, ham, salami, eggs and cereals. Clean room with excleent stream of hot water. The sauna ( wet and dry) and the relaxation area with nice music to relax after a day of ski was very good. We will definitely come back.
My husband and I have just spent a lovely week at the Waldheim, booked via Crystal Ski. The location is fantastic, a couple of minutes walk to Main Street which is full of bars, shops and restaurants, yet it’s so peaceful in the evening and throughout the night.
Breakfast is excellent with a good selection of breads, cheeses, meats, cereals and jams as well as cooked choices such as scrambled eggs and sausages.
Our room wasn’t huge but perfectly adequate and had a lovely balcony overlooking the mountains and the green opposite. Having seen a previous review, I also requested a kettle and cups to make our own hot drinks. Karen supplied these straightaway. The shower was powerful, with plenty of toiletries supplied and the robes/slippers were a nice touch. Our room was cleaned very well everyday.
All of the staff were very helpful, and very knowledgable about the ski runs which helped us to plan our days out with confidence (for the lower ability skier myself).
We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning another year.
We had a lovely week at Hotel Waldheim. It has a very traditional style and is absolutely spotless. We enjoyed the continental buffet breakfast and on the morning we were leaving, they supplied us with sandwiches, fruit, chocolate and a drink, as we had to leave before breakfast. Everyone was lovely, friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again. It's also, in a great location for the ski lifts and village, but lovely and quiet.
I Booked this hotel for myself and my husband with Crystal ski holidays and we got a great deal. Having checked all the previous reviews on Trip Advisor i can honestly say we were not disappointed.
Check in was quick and welcoming and we were shown everything we needed to know in a speedy 10 minutes ,which was great for travel weary customers .
The room was slightly on the small side but spotlessly clean and adequate for our needs.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and when we requested a kettle and 2 cups in our room they appeared within 10 minutes. This was great news as we love an early morning cup of tea so really appreciated.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and they went too the trouble of supplying Gluten free Muesli, and bread, for myself as per my request on my booking form this was a really nice touch as i often have to provide my own. thank you ladies.
The whole hotel was immaculately clean and Karen was a great advisor on ski conditions. There was a small boot room for dying damp ski boots overnight
The hotel truly was just a 2 to 3 minute walk to the Penkenbahn ski lift and to the shops and bars.
This hotel has everything you could need for a comfortable week's holiday and i would highly reccomend it
