I do recommend this hotel with a few caveats.
The hotel staff are here are great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is comfortable, rooms good, wellness area quite nice with in/out pool and usual sauna and steam etc available. Everything is immaculately clean. Food is very good generally, see below. On the edge of town with a 5 or 6 minute walk to the high street.
Room 115 is directly above the bar which had occasional noise and also opposite the hotels farm buildings, which sometimes had a little noise from large vehicles. Most of our party had no noise issues.
The food is generally very good with a great selection at breakfast and dinner but scrambled eggs and bacon in the tray at breakfast were a little dry and not very fresh when I arrived at 8:00. You can ask for fried eggs which were overdone. There's great selection of bread at breakfast but in the evening the cheese board does not really get restocked, if you arrive at the back end of dinner time there are only scraps of cheese left with the remains of the mornings stale bread as an accompaniment.
The dining room is quite big, bar and lounge area is very small for this standard of hotel. There are no further comfortable public rooms with armchairs etc for relaxing with a drink.
