We recently had a wonderful week in this fabulous hotel. The staff were all lovely and could not have been more helpful. We were given an upgrade as it was our wedding anniversary and we’d been slightly disappointed with the view from our original balcony. We stayed half board and the food at this hotel was outstanding with the usual large buffet selection for breakfast. Cake in the afternoon (which we never actually had as we were away up a mountain), then in the evening a sumptuous six courses of high quality food. The hotel was situated very close to both the train station and bus route but even with our balcony window open at night we were never disturbed by any vehicular or other sound. The grounds of the hotel were stunning with ample seating and shade. They have their own tiny chapel in the garden which also has a beautiful water lily pond. There was an outdoor swimming pool with its own natural plant filtration system. There was also a really warm indoor pool and jacuzzi. We had a game of ten pin bowling in their own underground three lane bowling alley. We weren’t there long enough to do or see everything on offer. There is an underground passage which links the St. Josef, which our room was in, to the main hotel. We did use this facility when it was raining one day. If you like antiques...More
