We had a deluxe ocean view room which granted us perfect sunset viewing. We also watched fish and turtles swimming in the reef below us from our balcony. The bathroom is quite small- think Travelodge- which was our only disappointment with the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The resort was incredible- the lagoon itself was worth staying here. I was able to ease into snorkeling and get comfortable using the equipment before heading out into open water. We rented a daybed for the day, which was fantastic because we didn't have to worry about finding seats. I recommend hiring servers for the pool area because our food sat a little long while we were drinking our Mai-Tai's and forgot to pick it up (whoops). Don the Beachcomber was closed, which was a pretty big bummer. My husband was stoked to have it on property. The only restaurant on property was great most of the time (shout out to the bar staff!!) but when we sat at a table, we waited a long time for service. I also overheard the waiter at the table next to us rush people who were seated an hour before closing to order and he pressured them to order salads since they would come up quickly. I hated hearing that interaction and considered calling management because of it. We had experienced similar pressure the night prior. I think the restaurant needed to be open later if there is no room service available. We truly enjoyed our stay. I think (and hope) the slight issues with the restaurant was due to COVID 19 and would definitely return.

The staff was friendly and accommodating when possible. We had a late night departure, the staff was helpful in giving us a late checkout and holding our bags. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable trip. The private lagoon is awesome.
