Stayed in unit 405. When we arrived the temperature in the unit was roughly 110°. The biggest downfall of the unit is the lack of air conditioning. Kona is extremely warm and humid. sleeping in the unit was very uncomfortable. We had to go out and buy several fans then return them. It took at least five days to get acclimated to the heat.
The good about the unit was it was large enough for all of us to stay. Four adults and one toddler. The views were amazing and sounds of the ocean were relaxing. Sat out on the patio every morning to watch the surfers. The pool was nice. The owner of unit was extremely helpful during the reservation and our stay. Parking is a definite plus. It is a little farther than anticipated from the main strip in Kona. As we went during Ironman week it was quite busy but expected. A walk to the main strip of Kona took roughly 35 to 45 minutes.More
