We went during happy hour on our last trip and stayed for dinner. If you order the house wine, you can get a decent glass of wine for $3! That's unheard of on the big island. I love that they source locally....We try to eat ethically/humanely/locally at home, so it was great to be able to do so on vacation! Props to them for grass-fed beef and other locally-sourced meats!

Great American food. Weloved the beer cheese app. The ribs were delicious. The stuffed chicken as incredible. The server was slow but friendly. Price is reasonable. Would go back.

First time at Foster's. Really a great place to go. Not sure if it is accessible for wheelchairs since it is upstairs. Service, food atmosphere was fantastic. The hostess was so nice she gave us options on where to sit and wanted to seat us on the "rail" (outside perimeter) so we would have a great view. We got a great view. Watching volleyball and people watching on Ali'i.

Loved this place - a great additional to downtown Kona. Great view - we even went back a 2nd time during our stay. The concept of farm to table/local was executed well. Our party of 6 enjoyed all selections. I had the special Monchung fish of the day and it was really amazing. We will miss Hawaii and all the fresh fish options. The staff was very polite, friendly and service was speedy (maybe due to the ipads), LOVE! The music was just perfect, not too loud and the singer/guitarist was really good. And don't forget the cocktails - their selections were really good and we tried 3-4 of them. They all were well balanced and you could tell thought went into making the menu.

Superb location , good choice of food & beverages at fair prices . I got the impression that there were too many servers/bar tenders , I kept seeing servers in the kitchen munching on morsels , not a good impression & shows a lack of management. Food fine , not best in class , the pasta was overcooked & the chicken may have been frozen portions ( not a statement of fact - just a feeling) Service up to standard.
