CALYPSO is right on the ocean facing the sunset, has lovely tile floors and two sets of huge sliding glass doors opening up directly onto the patio (also tiled). This is where we spent most of our time, either relaxing on the lounge chairs or sitting at the table watching the ocean.

It was quiet and away from the street. We booked directly from the (very friendly) owner who sent us all sorts of maps of things to do. We walked to Kahaluu Beach, to the market just up the street, and to the little bay where we rented kayaks and saw outrigger canoes.

This place was very nice, spacious, and stocked with everything we needed. We did not want to leave! I think we got a real bargain with CALYPSO.

It is the perfect spot to vacation, best location out of all the units. It beat my expections! (which is very hard to do) The place is better than the pictures. The views are incredible, you hear the sound of the waves and have a plesant smell of the ocean. One day I saw a turtle from the condo suning itself. Condo has been nicely updated. Linens were high quality. The kitchen was wonderful to cook ina (small but very nice). Everything matched, full sets of plates, glasses and silverware. Cookware seemed brand new. It even had a bosch dishwasher. Couldn't hear it when it was running. I will be staying there again. Ps. owner was very pleasant to deal with.

We arrived to the condo just as advertized. The place was clean and all you could need for a wonderful comfortable stay. We found the nearby snorkeling beach to be a better experience than Hanauma Bay, which we visited on our trip as well. The condo complex is built on ancient native rock buildings that have been preserved and add a touch of culture that reminds you of the Island heritage. The nearby shopping center has all you will need and the free shuttle is a nice way to tour Kailua-Kona. We did lots of activities and lots of relaxing. The condo felt like home for the 11 nights we visited. The lush plant life and cute Gecko's really give this the tropical paradise feel that you are looking for in Hawaii. The area is quiet but only miles from the city which is quaint and full of shops and restaurants. I will definitely return and live in my home away from home unit #196.

What a great location!. We spent 6 nights here and 3 nights at a fabulous house outside of Hilo, in Pahoa. The condo was in a perfect spot with a great view. No AC was a surprise and I do not recall being informed of that. We rented from someone named Sandy who was pretty "professional" and not very personable about things. We had a death in the family on an earlier reservation and had to cancel all the Hawaii plans, but she gave us a credit on our deposit for a future visit. A full refund would have been reasonable since we did not plan the death and it was more than a month notice.
The place was well equipted and pretty clean but I came home with lots of bed-bug bits. It was a bit of a bummer and the look pretty gross. I noticed them on the 2nd night and did not sleep well after that.
The place was not real busy but because of the location of our unit, almost impossible to find on google earth, someone chose to park in our spot, a local resident with handicapped plates. It did not make a ton of sense since the location was near steps. I called our contact person, since Sandy apparently had a baby, according to a not slid by the door. He called back 36 hours later and, of course, the car in our spot was gone!
I guess I am not complaining about the resort, just Sandy and #197 as well as her control over other units. I would recommend the location and the place, but be careful who you rent from.
It is out of the way, a bit of a drive for a nice Latte, but it is quite.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in townhouse 59.
The location, amenities, ... everything was perfect!

Sandy (owner) was very cordial & professional in her interactions from the time of booking until the completion of our stay.

This is our 3rd visit to Hawaii & without doubt this is the best condo we have stayed in.

We would surely stay in townhouse 59 when we visit Big Island again.
