The location is excellent as it's within walking distance of a number of attractions and restaurants. I also want to say that the service was also friendly and cordial. The rooms are large but definitely need some care. Not a big deal really because it plays with the 1920s theme of the hotel. Wear and tear is expected.

The biggest disappointment and inconvenience was the bathroom. Cosmetic items aside (ie: towel rack pulling away from the wall, dirty and stained tub etc) the water system within the hotel I'd guess has never been updated thus all the problems of 1920s plumbing emerged. Unable to regulate the water temp after 15 minutes of trying was a bit much. The shower and tub itself also fall into the 1920s era, literally. The shower was a small pipe that went up to my chest with little flow and the tub itself I don't believe had received any attention since the building was put up.

I've slept in beach huts, dive hotels etc but for the price, I always had an idea of what I was getting. Having spent $350 CDN for a night, we had hoped to be able to enjoy at least a hot and relaxing shower.

As I said, the location, staff and character of the hotel are great but for the price paid, it simply wasn't a good value. Put some money into this place and it will justify it's price point but as of now, it definitely needs some work.

I was on a business trip and stayed two nights here. They put me in room 123 which is next to the lobby on the first floor. I found the windows to the outside were reinforced to block out most of the street noise, but I could still here quiet a bit of noise and guest chatter from the the lobby unfortunately. The continental breakfast offered had a good selection of pastries and fruit. If you wanted a more substantial breakfast, you had to go to a restaurant. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner options around the hotel. I generally liked my room - spacious and clean. I really liked the location of the hotel and the new self-locking bikes in Seattle gave me a fun and creative alternative to get down to Seattle for my meetings (I wished the hotels had bike helmets to loan out). Staff were very friendly and mostly attentive, except they forgot to alert me when my room was ready as they had promised. This was my first stay, I plan to come back on my next trip to Seattle but will be careful when requesting a room.

Room Tip: Don't get 123. Rooms facing Queen Anne won't give you a Space Needle view and will be subjec...

Everyone was very friendly and nice, great breakfast and the rooms were very comfortable but ask for the first floor, there are no elevators.. There is a CVS across the street and A super market, oh the hotel also has a nice bar.

This is the second tie I have stayed at this hotel. Both times were great experiences. The staff is just wonderful. All the front desk people were friendly , knowledgeable and efficient.
The room (310) was spacious, had a nice view of the Space Needle and had the charm most modern hotels lack. The kitchen had everything you could need including a full set of dishes and silverware, the bathroom was clean and the water hot, the bedroom included a sofa bed so 3 could comfortably stay and the sitting area was wonderful for reading.
The location is great! Irish pub, bookstore, markets, CVS, and a neat Cajun restaurant are just a few things that were within 2-5 minutes of the hotel. Seattle Center and the waterfront are both within walking distance.

Don't expect any glitz or glamour here. There is a lot of history with this building and the ambiance is felt throughout. It's located in the Queen Anne district and within walking distance of the Space Needle and Pikes Market. We stayed here before taking an Alaskan cruise. It's a short cab/Uber ride to pier 91. We felt we got a good value for what we paid considering the going rate for downtown Seattle. We'll definitely consider this hotel during our next visit.
