Owner description: Seattle’s “must see” is now a “must do” following the Space Needle’s multimillion-dollar renovation. Glide onto The Loupe, the world’s first and only rotating glass floor, for never-before-seen views of the structure and the city. Lean into tilting glass walls on the open-air deck and float over Seattle on one of 24 angled Skyriser glass benches. Sip and sample the Pacific Northwest’s best while savoring the thrilling views. The future. Now open.

I don't understand how this being one of the most important tourist attractions in seattle they do not let know in advance how awful the view is and that almost all the tower is being refurbished. The visit would last 5 minutes - if you want to pay 24 dollars to watch workers assembly windows or walk through wooden walls/ floors this is the right place. Management should at least charge half a price or similar with a huge warning. We went to SMITH TOWER - way better with amazing views and very instructive rooms displaying life style in 19's as well as old furniture.

I was very disappointed because they are under construction and you can actually see only a small part of it, the restaurant is closed.
there is only one small area where you can go outside and enjoy the view.
the price is not reduced enough for what they offer, it is reduced from $26 to $22 but you can only see 20% of it.

We visited the Space Needle (SN) on 3/24/18. The view was great, but the experience was quite hampered by the extensive construction taking place. Only 2 sections of the Observation Deck (OD) was open to the public and the interior of the deck was covered in particle boards. The Elevator Guide told us the restaurant level is projected to open by Memorial Day Weekend, but the Observation Deck will only be completed in phases. Phase 1 is expected to be done sometime in September. The tickets were discounted a little for the inconvenience, but everyone in our party agreed it was still not worth the cost and time (long wait for our time slot to go up to the OD). I would definitely wait until the construction has been completed and to buy your tickets in advance (online). We got there around 2:00 pm on a Friday and the earliest available time slot was at 6:00 pm! All tickets were sold out by the time we got in line at 5:30! Of course there are plenty of other attractions nearby to pass our time. The two closest are the Museum of Pop (MoPop) and Chihuly Garden and Glass (right next to the SN). We chose Chihuly Garden and Glass and were all mesmerized by the glass work exhibits! Another note, don’t wear green if you want to purchase a souvenir photo! I had a green shirt on and became a ghost in the photo! LOL!
