Located inside a gas station, I did not expect much. I was attending a training nearby and was extremely hungry by the time we broke for lunch. I was also on a budget, both money and time-wise. So, I took the plunge and ordered gas station food.

It was really good! The price was right. The location (distance from my training) was right. The flavor was right on. As it turned out, I made a very good choice that day. I will not fear the gas-station burrito anymore.

I thought this place was expensive, especially for what you get. Best comparision of food quality would be taco bell.

Visiting Alaska doesn't mean you have to give up real Mexican food or accept phony South-of-The-Border fare. Joe & Lulu Garcia have been serving delicious and authentic Latin dishes for nearly 20 years and their tortillas and salsa are probably the best available north of Tacoma. Be sure to try their rich and satisfying egg burritos, especially the Hawaiian one with that tasty mango salsa. All dishes are made to order but check the menu carefully for the hefty "El Matador" (the killer) and other specialty dishes along with the daily delights.

Its easy to find as its on the same property as a gas station and convenience store. They open at 5:30am on weekdays for you early birds. Parking is plentiful but they are very busy on Saturday mornings, so plan ahead. Popular as the Burrito Factory is, its worth waiting for even when the line is out the door. I highly recommend it.

This place is inside a Chevron station on the east side. And considering the location the food is good. It is spendy, $10-12 bucks for one burrito. It is good to call ahead; otherwise be prepared to wait. It's not that service is slow, it is that it's a one at a time, as you order it, kind of set up. So don't get in a huge hurry. I would like to give it 3.5 stars, but the veggie burrito I always get is just a bit undersized, and it comes with no sides. Primarily a take out place, there are a few benches inside, but they are usually busy. So if you come here, grab and go, and maybe bring a salad with you.
