Description: Located in the heart of Harvard Square, Harvest celebrates the modern New England table. We present contemporary New England cuisine focused on the region’s freshest ingredients. Tucked along a cobblestone pathway in the heart of the square, Harvest provides a welcome respite from the fast-paced world outside. Inside is a combination of soothing earth tones, supple banquettes, dark woods and pastoral art that lend an air of understated elegance. Our newly re-designed open kitchen, spacious bar, and fireside dining complete the comfortable interior. Graceful linden trees offer shade to the Garden Terrace, our private garden café that boasts fireside dining, blooming flower boxes, and heaters for the chilly nights of spring and fall. Noted by Travel & Leisure as a Harvard Square classic, Harvest has also been lauded for its New England Cuisine by Zagat, Boston Magazine and The Improper Bostonian.

If you want to dine where the local academics do, or want a quick meal at a bar, with great drinks and fabulous bartending, this is the place. Particularly nice in good weather when you can eat outside. Avoid the back room: claustrophobic, and the food--never great--doesn't make up for it. Hamburger's are really good, as are oysters.

We went to Harvest again after many years and were not disappointed!... the food was interesting and inventive. The chefs may change but the quality of the dining experience is the same. We didnt try the tasting menu as other at the table did not want to-- but it looked like a very good deal, particularly with the wine pairing. We hope to return again soon--it is pricey.. but Not overpriced!

The food at Harvest is always delicious and the service is impeccable. It is well worth the money, although it is expensive. I had the lamb chops (3) which came with delicious wheat berries. Others at the table had the roasted chicken and redfish with mussels. One of us had the shrimp cocktail which was eight large shrimp with great horseradish sauce. Another of us had the veal pappardelle. The table shared the rosemary fries and the spicy carrots. All of this food was excellent. We did not have dessert, but we did have 3 glasses of wine. The bill came to a little over $200 before tip.

We had our Easter brunch here and it was wonderful. The service was a bit slow but perhaps it was because there were a lot of people that day. Our food was delicious and the presentation made it even more appealing ! We would definitely recommend this place.

This dinner was the perfect, memorable finish to a long weekend visiting colleges in the area. My 17-year old daughter and I enjoyed attentive and friendly service during a perfectly paced meal. The kitchen and server timed our meal perfectly. I tried the risotto and my daughter ordered salmon. Both entrees were prepared with attention to detail and offered a lovely presentation. Don't miss the Bibb lettuce salad with parsley and dill. My daughter's entree was so lovely she snapchatted her meal...which is unlike her. She was impressed! We sat by the fire on the patio on a crisp spring night. The patio was ringed with pussy willow, pansies and ivy. It was the perfect place to inspire conversations about the future, chance and destiny. Thank you so much Harvest! You made a beautiful day end with kindness, professionalism and sated palates.
