Besides Brian, our server, being a total hoot, the guacamole and margarita's I shared with my family were out of this world. The guac is made fresh for you and can be customized to your liking. It's really very very good!!! The margarita we chose was the best drink I had while on my trip to Cambridge. Fresh and yummy, and not too sweet! Definitely will return!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge disappointment. Haven't been to Ole in years, and it's (literally) not the same restaurant. Under new ownership and undergoing construction, so only half the restaurant is open. The menu, which used to be fantastic and varied, is reduced to a taqueria menu. The food is okay, but pricey, if you like tacos (4). Four of us went to dinner and sat a corner table. The noise level was so high, cross table taking was impossible. The good news: the staff was very accommodating, they still make their wonderful signature guacamole, and the flan was excellent. Doubt we'll go back.

After having gone here for years and had great food/experiences, a recent visit left us less than impressed.

The variety in the menu is about half of what it used to be and the quality of the food and service have gone down as well.

Dishes like the chile rellenos and enchiladas were fine, but then they were served with dull, overdressed, pile of salad greens on the side. Things really seemed to just be slapped together. More complex dishes that used to be on the menu have disappeared. It seems that the kitchen isn't really set to handle the quality of food it once did.

If this was being served at low prices it would all be acceptable, but at the same upper medium range prices it isn't acceptable.

This has long been one of my go to places for interesting Mexican food. But on the last trip, the menu had definitely become more conventional and much less interesting. Food was still good but... Service was also lacking. It took a long time to get our drinks and the latecomer to the table flagged down the waiter twice before he finally came over on the third try to take the last drink order. Then he became sort of smarmy solicitous. Not off my list completely but I'm not sure what would bring me back.

We ate here twice recently, the first time there were 3 of us and each of us enjoyed our food. The second time with 4 of us - it was as if this was an entirely different restaurant as the food was awful. It did not taste fresh and the service was indifferent and sub par. The salad served with the enchiladas was like a chopped bagged wilted mix versus the nice fresh leaves of various lettuces we had on the previous visit. Also the guacamole this time lacked the flavor and brightness it had on the previous visit and the enchiladas were a gloppy blah mess. I doubt we will go again as this visit really turned us off. Ugh.
