Wonderful sourround between nature: a clear unspoiled sea and a green mountain; this is one of the best natural place in Italy!

We did a trekking tour from Monteconero Hotel, where we visited the small lovely church, we saw the beach from above, it was exhausting but worth it! amazing views. took us about 2 or 3 hours to get back to the town. Unfortunately we could not rent a canoe to get there, as the sea was a little wavy and they would not rent them...so we were happy to have done this trail.

We went walking to this beach, we are quite trained walkers/climbers, and we would recommend people to put on mountain shoes! No flip flops, no sneakers, cz the last 250 meters go straight down and is for a non trained person it can be dangerouse.
If u have children, go by boat, if you are not used to climb, go by boat!

The beach is beautiful, small (and packed with people) , if you go, go in the early morning, to really enjoy the view. Boats will take you to the beach and back.
There is a danger of falling rocks, the mountain is loosing stones, so stay away from the mountain. ( people did get injured and 1 person died of falling rocks)
Also for this it is important to check the weather, strong wind and rain can cause rocks to fall.
We went back when we saw the weather changing and had difficulties climbing up due to the force of the wind. When we were up, thunderstorms started and rain came down like a shower.
If you are still on the beach, no shelter and u are stuck there until the boat picks u up.

It really is a great place to visit! But pls take your safety seriouse. If you do that, it will be an experience not to forget!

First beach, accessible by public boat was overcrowded, second beach accessible individually was ok.
We have used pedal-boat from Sirolo beach San Michele- 3 hours including swimming. There are TWO :O) pedal-boats available so you have to be at 8:30 on the San Michele beach to get one of them.

To sum it up: very nice beach. To get there, go for the hike early in the morning.
---
We decided to go by foot to the beach. It seems very few people take this option, as finding the right bus stop was in itself complicated (we asked many locals, no one really knew). But we managed to find a way from Sirolo thanks to Google maps.
The path is breathtaking. You climb on the top of the cliff and get a view like nowhere else. However, it's difficult and very dangerous, and that's not explained anywhere. Better go there with good shoes, backpacks (and no handbags), and avoid if you're afraid of heights. But I don't regret doing it, it's really worth the effort.
Once we got there, we felt a huge satisfaction, as the color of the water is amazing, the beach is splendid: it's rewarding.
However, considering the way down to the beach, we decided to go back with the boat; we didn't know the last one leaves at 3pm (we arrived at 1:30 pm...), it's insanely expensive for a 20 minutes ride (15€/pers), so it kind of spoiled the experience for us.
If I had a recommendation to make, is to either go by foot early in the morning and stay there to enjoy the beach until 3, or go with the boat and come back by foot a bit later.
But compared to the other beaches around, it's really worth it.
